Country Life

The journey is yours to choose, respecting that one of the most important features of your decision is healthy living, following your family’s dreams and aspirations.

Greenhood Organic Farms are nestled on the outskirts of the thriving township of Timboon. With shops, cafes, Prep-12 school, preschool, sporting facilities, service clubs and the hospital proving acute, residential and community aged care services ensures community integration and local involvement.

Timboon has many small business and professional service industries to agriculture. Also the rural cities of Warrnambool and Colac are an easy commute. Local off farm income and employment opportunities are a reality.

Land Use

Smaller horticultural farms designed with the concept of minimizing unproductive land, growing organically (to respect and protect our waterways, flora and fauna) and using properly scaled technology to reduce workloads.

Environment Protection – An Environmental Management Plan (EMP) will help best practice decision making, using lessons and ideals from organic farming guidelines, department of Environment and Primary industries, Landcare and Land for Wildlife. The EMP helps guide land management, environmental care, water use and management and rural living.

Business

Our aim is to present the right ingredients within the farm and community for you to be able to apply your enthusiasm and skills and make your farming journey both enjoyable and financially rewarding. We offer to assist in the design of your business and marketing plan and work confidently towards developing your sustainable farming enterprise.

Intentional Community

All the farms enjoy the amenity provided by the 2.6ha common property. The EMP helps guide the owners corporate on how to manage this precious remnant vegetation and shared assets. A proposed meeting point would provide neighbours  a place to interact and communicate a plan for successful farm, business and personal requirements.

Sustainable farming needs access to “every tool in the shed”, but you don’t need to own them all. Subcontractors, barter or sharing, makes economic sense. Let’s think outside the square and talk about it.
